1.First aid treatment when skin is burnt

Do not foment ice directly on burnt skin. Apart from that first wash affected area with cold water that will give relief from burning. always wash before fomenting ice on the affected area.

We always believe that fomenting with hot objects gives relief in swelling  but fomenting increases swelling rather than giving relief and the result is it takes time in healing. Use ice than heat patches on the affected part because ice reduces swelling.
